Lostock Hall is a popular residential area that is always in demand from prospective tenants. Situated between Bamber Bridge, Leyland and Penwortham it has plentiful local amenities, great schools and excellent motorway links meaning it remains popular with families and commuters alike.

Three bed semis and terraces make up the majority of the housing stock in the area, which are ideally suited for families and couples. It’s worth noting that properties get snapped up quickly here, with the last 3 listings we have had in the area being taken within less than a week of going online. So if you’re looking for a quick turnaround time on your investment this could be the perfect place.

The terraced houses in Lostock Hall mostly date back to around the 1880s, whereas the majority of the semi-detached houses are 60s built Barrat homes. A 3 bed terrace will cost you between £100k and £120k (with a mid of modernisation required) and should rent for around £695 a month, giving a comfortable yield of over 6%. A 3-bed semi could be picked up for around $160,000 and let for £850 a month, again giving above 6% yield.

Property values have risen around 8-10% across the board in the last few years in Lostock Hall and show no signs of dropping, meaning that this could be an ideal area for long term investors to not only make a solid rental income, but to grow the value of their portfolio for the future.
